El Cacique de Menkoremn is a traveling jungle cumbia musician. With his band, he tours the remote regions of Peru's Amazon, playing in the small towns and villages along the rivers. He's particularly popular with the indigenous population and often sings verses in the local language. He's a jungle original, and all his songs (sometimes sad, sometimes hilarious, always danceable) are based on his experiences as someone who's jungle through and through.
